Giveaway Blitz: Jealous and Freakn' by Eve Langlais

How can she make him stop thinking of her as a freakn’ sister?

Francine’s loved Mitchell, a wolf like herself, since she first set eyes on him back when they were just kids. However, Mitchell’s never seen her as more than another annoying sister. Determined to make him realize she’s all grown up, she enlists the aide of Alejandro, a gorgeous cat shifter. She never counted on wanting them both.

Alejandro knows Francine is special from the first moment he meets the fiery plump wolf, which is why he suggests she use him to make Mitchell jealous. A great plan, especially if it means he gets to kiss those luscious lips. One taste, though, and he’s addicted, but how does he make her see past the man she loves to realize she’s also meant to be his mate?

For a long time now, Mitchell’s been avoiding Francine, his bratty sister’s friend. However, the little girl he remembers is all grown up, and when he sees her in the arms of another, a need to claim her overrides all his common sense. But, he’s waited too long and fate has decided that he’s going to have to share. Can he bend enough to accept Francine with her other man, or will his freakn’ jealousy send him running?

ARC Review: Love Through Time by Lucy Felthouse

Love Through Time is a quick and charming read. Emily has been sent to Westbury Manor to help restore the library. Once there Emily starts to encounter some pretty weird things. Pictures keep falling over and she feels as if some one is breathing on her and touching her. Could the manor be haunterd? Emily is thoroughly spooked, and decides to turn to George the night security guard for help. Together they both embark on a quest to rid the manor of it's pesky ghost.

Like I said before, this was a quick and charming read but I wish it was longer. I would have liked to have seen more interaction between Emily and George. Everything just seemed to wrap itself up too quickly that it didn't feel all that realistic.

ARC Review: Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione

Immortal Rider is another spectacular read by Larissa Ione. Larissa just has a way with creating a world that is so believable and realistic that you feel as if the characters are long lost friends that you are catching up with. I really enjoyed this book but I won't lie. I kind of wish there was a bit more romance between Arik and Limos. Don't get me wrong, I loved these two and they were definitely hot together, but I think with all of the action taking place in the book it became a bit overshadowed.

I won't try to summarize this book because honestly I'm not sure I can. There is just so much happening from the first page to the last, that I found myself continuously turning the page trying to take it all in. I really enjoyed Arik and Limos, and I love them as a couple. I love that even though Limos is the strongest of the two, that Arik is still so protective of her. He shields her as if she is his most valued treasure and I found that so endearing.

Arik was such a surprise to me. I won't lie, I wasn't that enthusiastic of him as a hero because I really didn't like him that much in previous books. He just came off as a controlling, hypocritical jerk that couldn't be bothered by demons and their suffering. I am so glad we got to know him better because I really grew to love him. He is so protective of the ones he loves and cares about, so much so, that he would sell his soul in order to save the ones he loves. I love that he was constantly putting Limos' well being before his own and he was just so protective of her. He was also so understanding and level headed. I'm so glad I got to know him better because he has quickly become one of my favorite heroes.

I found that I really liked Limos. She was just so much more than I was expecting. She has so many different layers that make her so unique. She came off as a hardass, warrior chick who didn't have a care in the world in Eternal Rider but that definitely is not the case with her at all. She may be strong physically but deep down she wants what every woman wants, to be loved, happy and to have a family. She's another one that will do anything to save the ones she loves. Also, she kicks ass! Larissa just has a way with creating such great heroines that are able to keep up with her sexy Alpha heroes.

I won't lie though. Once Regan came onto the scene, I found myself more interested in what was happening between her and Thanatos. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed Arik and Limos' story and their relationship, but I just kept finding myself clamoring for more of Thanatos and Regan's story. I can't wait to see what happens with them in the next book. I swear Larissa Ione just has a way with ending a book that leaves the reader wanting more. You turn to the last page and realize that's it, and now you have to wait six months for the next one. It's brutal but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Review: Lord and Lady Spy by Shana Galen

I can't even begin to formulate into words how much I loved this book. This is definitely hands-down my favorite historical that I've read this year. I just couldn't put this book down. From page one to the last page, it's packed with action, romance, and lots of steamy smex scenes.

I experienced so many different emotions reading this book. Not only did it get me all hot and bothered, but it also brought tears to my eyes more than once. It isn't just a book about a husband and wife that are secret spies and working together. No, it's also a tale of said husband and wife coming together to learn how to trust and love one another. We are also shown the heartache and pain that both have faced during the last few years together, but we also see them overcome their pain and grief and become a together unit.

I enjoyed both Lord Adrian and Lady Sophia Smythe. Both are such strong and independent characters that are  simply trying to figure out a way to balance their homes lives with the secret lives they've been living. Neither was aware that the other was working as spy, even though they both were working for the same Barbican Group. When both are let go because the war has ended and they aren't needed, neither really knows what to do with themselves. Both are bored with the life of domesticity and hunger for the adventure and intrigue that being a spy provides. Adrian and Sophia try everything they can to be welcomed back into the Barbican Group. When they are offered a case with the outcome of only one of them being chosen to return to the Barbican Group, they both find it difficult to trust the other. On top of trying to work together on the case, they are also trying to make things better in their marriage. Both are attracted to the other and definitely care for one another, but there is just so much pain and heartache that they are trying to work through.

My favorite part of this book is when Adrian and Sophia are discussing past cases they've worked on and the injuries they sustained over their spy career. I also enjoyed watching them come together. There were so many sparks and chemistry with these two that their scenes together felt as if they jumped off the page. I enjoyed watching these two bring down their walls and learn to trust and truly care for the other. To be honest, I was disappointed to finish this book. I was so invested in this couple and their lives, that I just wanted the book to keep on going. These two were just so electric together.

Honestly though, I am in love with this book and I will shout it from the rooftops if I have to. Everyone should definitely pick up this book. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Interview with Author Juliana Stone and Giveaway

Hi everyone! So today I'm super happy to welcome the wonderful Juliana Stone to the blog. Juliana writes super hot paranormals about all things that go bump in the night. Her Jaguar Warriors series can't be missed and you can see my review for her latest His Darkest Salvation here. Anywho, Juliana was kind enough to let me ask her some questions and I would love to share them with you all. =)

First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
Hey Danielle, thanks for having me and sure I’ll share a wee bit! I am married with kids, have a gorgeous golden retriever and an orange tabby that I adore! I love baseball and hockey, 80’s music. I have the best girlfriends in the world, hate the snow and Fall is my favorite time of the year!

Did you always want to be a writer?
I’ve always loved to read and when I was a teenager toyed around with writing. One of the first things I bought with my own money was a typewriter. I think I dreamed of becoming a write but did I ever think it would happen? No. Music was also a huge part of my life and for a lot of my younger years I spent on the road singing and performing. It wasn’t until later, when I was settled that I decided to give it a shot and actually write something!

What kind of writer are you? Panster or Plotter?
I’m a pantser all the way! As I have more books to write I do have to try and become a little more organized but I can’t plot ahead. I’ve tried and nothing turns out the way I’d originally plotted anyway! I get an opening scene in my head and write. I let the characters dictate to me and so far this works!

ARC Review: Her Christmas Pleasure by Karen Erickson

Damien has been in love with Celia for well over three years, but knows nothing can ever come of it. Not only is she his best friend's widow, but she is also a lady of quality and he is nothing more than a poor servant's son. Tired of being around her and not being able to be with her, Damien decides to take on a new job that places him outside country once the new year starts.

After the death of her husband, Celia grew extremely close to her husbands best friend Damien. She has always considered him a close friend of the family and an adoptive uncle to her young son. But in the last few months she has started to see Damien in a different light. She finds him extremely attractive and loves the way he helps take care of her son.

When both Celia and Damien are caught beneath a mistletoe at a family Christmas party, they exchange a brief kiss. The kiss is explosive and is just what they both have been secretly wanting from one another. Later, when Damien informs Celia of his decision to leave at the end of the year, she knows that she can't let him leave. She has to let him know of her true feelings for him.

This was a quick and charming read. I enjoyed both Damien and Celia and thought that they were explosive together. Both had so many pent up feelings, so it was great to see them let their walls come down and be honest with one another.

Interview with Author Jenna Petersen and Giveaway

Today I have the pleasure of having the incredible Jenna Petersen on the blog. Jenna is fabulous and one of my absolute favorite authors. Jenna was kind enough to answer some questions for me and I'm happy to share them with you all.

First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
I'm a romance writer with over 20 books published by Avon, Orbit and independently. I live in Arizona, play video games, am an aunt to two fabulous nephews, cat mommy of two and wife of one.

Did you always want to be a writer?
Pretty much. I won a Young Authors competition in 5th grade, so I'd been writing before that and always aspired to write professionally after.

What kind of writer are you? Panster or Plotter?
Plotter, plotter, plotter.

Why historicals? What about this era draws you in?
I like the Regency era because there are tons of rules to break and lots of intrigue circling around. There's so much to play with in a very short era.

Chatting Up a Cover Model and Giveaway

Hi everyone. So today I have something special for you all. Recently the awesome author/photographer extraordinaire Jenn LeBlanc put out a lookbook featuring the uber sexy Derek Hutchins and I decided to have them both on the blog today to talk about it. Jenn was kind enough to interview Derek and is letting me share it with you all. So enjoy!

Happy Man Candy Monday everyone!! My name is Jenn LeBlanc and you might know me as the author and photographer for The Rake And The Recluse, an illustrated romance novel!

Tuesday November 1, 2011 Derek and I launched his first photo book from the past years’ shoots. I thought you would like a little insight into Derek’s head.

Are you excited about this new venture?
Yes, I could not be more excited. Teaming up with Jenn LeBlanc is going to be epic! We have so much fun, and whenever we collaborate on projects, we cause a scene, in a positive way!

Tell us a little bit about it.
Well, "The White" and I are going to be doing independent soliciting of clothing manufacturers and advertisement agencies to offer our services of model and photographer, to complete their advertising projects for them.

How did you get into modeling?
I started off as a photographer with a workout addiction, and when a fellow photographer saw my physic, she wanted to use me for a project. It was during that shoot that I found my passion for being on the other side of the lens. It's a fun experience for me being able to use my knowledge of lighting and photography in order to better pose myself for Jenn to do her magic.

What is your ultimate dream job?
I don't have just one, I have many dream jobs I would like to pursue, it just so happens that modeling is the first one to take off.

Guest Post with Author Josee Renard and Giveaway

Hi everyone! Today I would like to welcome to the blog author Josee Renard. Josee is celebrating the release of her book For Your Love. So everyone please give Josee a warm welcome.

I’m delighted to be rambling with Danielle – and only partly because rambling is about all I’m capable of today.

I know you all have periods of time – what meteorologists call the perfect storm – when everything seems to happen at once. In the past month, I’ve written the last four stories in the Part Time Lovers serial, written a short story for a Christmas promotion, gone through the editing process on approximately seven stories – Part Time Lovers stories and a couple of others. I’ve written numerous (I can’t actually count how many) blogs. I love doing all of these things and under normal circumstances, I’d simply be grateful that I had the work and enjoy every minute of it.
